This week’s second offering from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore is Giordana. It’s another mostly-formal updo with a twist (literally): it’s banded in front by a braid.
It’s the A&A Giordana Hair Variety Colors V2, and it’s available for $L250. Be sure to wear your A&A group tag and make your purchase from the Action Wall; that way, you’ll get an immediate refund of half your purchase price.
Let’s face it: there is so much going on in SL that it’s almost impossible to keep track of it all. So how do you know what’s happening that might interest you?
Obviously, if it’s an event that one of your groups has planned, you’ve probably received a message about it—unless you’ve opted out of Group Messages. In that case, I don’t know what to tell you, since you’re obviously not interested, leaving me to ask why you even belong to that group in the first place.
But let’s assume that you’re receiving regular group notices but want to spread your wings a little, and see what other folks are doing. If this is you, then have I got news for you!
Log out of your SL viewer and fire up your web browser. Look at the top left corner of your screen, which should look something like this:
Click on Events to bring up this screen:
(Click on the image for a larger view)
This won’t bring up my Events Calendar, but rather your own. Now you can see the events open to you. The information includes the date, time, and location, so there’s no excuse for missing out on any of the fun SL has to offer.
So the next time you’re bored, or just looking for something new to do, just check your Events Calendar!
Spring is finally here in Rochester, NY, where I live in Real Life. I know—Real Life: what a concept! But the tulips and daffodils are in bloom, and so is the lilac tree.
And it’s also come to Second Life, in the form of the Spring Romance Fair & Treasure hunt. Where, oh where do I begin? There’s so much going on that I think it best to let Alice Klinger, owner and proprietor of everything having to do with Alli&Ali Designs, explain it:
We cordially invite you to visit the Spring Romance Fair & Treasure hunt!
The latest offering from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore is Vivianne, a modern take on the classic Gibson Girl style so famous in the 1890s. While it’s not quite so top-heavy as the original, that’s the style that came to mind when I first wore it.
It’s available as an updated release, which means if you’ve bought it before, you can get the new improved version by using the redelivery terminal to get it for free.
Sorry, everyone else—right now it’s only available as an update for those who have already bought it.
I probably should have chosen a more elegant outfit to model Yuki, but I had a migraine and just couldn’t be bothered. That, and I wanted to get my review of Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore’s newest offering to you as quickly as possible.
And yet Yuki cries out for an elegant, formal dress to do it justice.
It’s a Variety Colors pack, which means you get all 16 colors for just $L250. But as is always the case during the first week of a new style’s release, wear your A&A tag when you buy it from the New Releases wall and 50% of the purchase price will be refunded to you. So you’re actually getting 16 colors for $L125, or less than $L10 each!
Oh, and the tiara that’s shown in the picture? You can wear it in any of 9 colors, or hide it altogether.
Yuki is available in Raspberry as a free gift at the front desk. Or you can buy it in Light Blonde from the Special Offers wall for $L50. Finally, it’s available as another free gift (in Blackberry) in front of the Voting Board.
Any way you look at it, Yuki is a clear winner for those long romantic nights, and it’s only available at Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore.
Not only because I’m also short and sassy, but because I look best in shorter styles. Besides, as a busy journalist on the go, I don’t have a lot of time to waste spend on caring for long hair.
What? You think it’s easy writing these posts? Between modeling each new style, taking pictures, editing them, and then writing each entry, I spend close to an hour every time. And I do it all out of my sense of public duty.
Well, that, and the fact that I love getting new hair every week!
See? Marina. Short and sassy. With its low display weight and affordable price, It’s right for just about any budget.
$L250 gets you the full set of 16 colors, or you can grab it in Blueberry completely free in front of the voting board.
An as always, if you wear your A&A group tag and buy the complete set from the New Releases Action Wall, 50% of your purchase price will be refunded upon purchase. So for this week only, that’s 16 colors for $L150! That should give you enough combinations to mix & match with any outfits you might ever wear.
I don’t know how many items they have in stock, but when I search Alli&Ali on the SL Marketplace and display 96 images per page in the results, it takes 96 pages to list them all! That’s almost 10,000 items, and there are more every week.
Now I don’t know about you, but I think that the fact they have that many items and each item has a unique name, is definitely worthy of respect!
And yesterday’s release is also worthy of respect.
Iris is a modified page-boy bob, just slightly longer. The complete set of 16 colors is now available for just $L250. But if you purchase it from the Action Wall while wearing your A&S group tag, half of that will be refunded to you immediately upon purchase.
Still not convinced? The style in Amethyst is a free gift at the Front Desk, and
Sand Blonde can be had for $L50 at the Special Offers Wall.
And here I am modeling Iris in my usual favorite shade:
My usual complaint about A&A applies to IRIS as well: every time there’s a new style at Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore, it immediately becomes my new favorite! And this is especially true of the shorter styles like this one.
Iris. When you’re in the mood for short and sassy, you won’t go wrong with this one!
