Oh, You Poor Dears!

Sometimes I find myself feeling sorry for men in Second Life. And to be honest, in real life, too. You’re far too restricted in what’s acceptable for you to wear and how to look.

In the song “My Conviction,” from the musical “Hair,” a character sings this:

“I would just like to say that it is my conviction
That longer hair and other flamboyant affectations
Of appearance are nothing more
Than the male’s emergence from his drab camouflage
Into the gaudy plumage
Which is the birthright of his sex.

There is a peculiar notion that elegant plumage
And fine feathers are not proper for the male
When actually
That is the way things are
In most species.”

Fortunately for you guys, the crew at Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore have got your backs!

Andrew is a new style for men, but to be honest, I like it as a unisexual style—it looks just as good on me as it does on the model in the picture above. And I’m sure that a few of my dyke girlfriends will like it, too!

And you’ll love the price: $L250 for all 16 colors. And as they say on television, “But wait! There’s more!”

You can get it in Sand Blonde for free at the front desk, and in Coffee for free at the voting booth.

Okay, guys: never let it be said that I con’t keep my eyes open for you!

ASTRID: A Shorter Style

Yesterday I talked briefly about long hair. Today Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore has a new short style for you.

Unlike my real life, where my hair hangs below my boobs, in SL I prefer shorter styles. And Astrid is my latest favorite. It’s short, sweet, and to the point.

With its incredibly low display weight (it comes in at a mere 963!), it not only loads quickly but also contributes only negligibly to any possible lag.

The complete set, with all 8 subsets, sells for $L1500 which, if you can’t decide on a single color, is the way to go.

Subsets containing each individual color group go for $L250–still a bargain so far as I’m concerned.

And a single color–Dark Hazel–is yours for only $L50.

Astrid, for those of us who prefer a shorter style, on sale now at Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore.

And don’t forget you can also buy A&A’s products in the SL Marketplace.

I Like Long Hair…Most of The Time

But it can be hard to work with, which is probably why braids were invented in the first place: to keep our hair long, yet up and out of the way.

Which is why I like Leeanne, the latest offering from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore. It’s short-looking, but the braid indicates that when it’s down, it’s much longer. It’s a perfect style for your office, whether you’re a clerk or CEO, receptionist or doctor.

As is usual, the complete set sells for $L1500, with each of the 8 color subsets going for $L250.

But you can pick up a single color—Cream Blonde—for just $L50 at the front of the store, or Flame for free, in the voting area.

Leeanne—perfect for work or play. Now available at Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore.

Truly a Timeless Design

Every once in a while, if you’re lucky, you’ll come across a hairstyle so simple, so basic, it transcends time and place and becomes a classic—timeless.

Such is Timeless, a new offering from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore.

But wait!

You won’t find it there! Instead, it’s at the January Dazzle Event. As always, the complete collection sells for $L1500, while each of the 8 subsets sells for $L250 a set.

The barette is colorable, or you can hide it completely.

But you’d better hurry—this event only runs until the 25th of January, and once it’s gone, it’s gone!

Timeless, a timeless design from the Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore.

Amelia Is My Kind of Style

Long, flowing, and with hair clips! A new release from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore:

What I like most about it is that I have long hair myself in RL, and I generally tie it back. And Amelia comes complete with hair clips, so I can do the same in SL. They’re colorable, too, via the included HUD:

The only way I could like it even better would be if I could change the color of the clips individually, rather than as a pair. That would reflect more accurately my hectic RL.

But never you mind! This style is destined to be part of my regular collection!

Amelia follows the usual A&A price schedule: $L1500 for the complete collection of 8 color sets, or $L250 for each of the individual sets. The HUD is included, and it has the usual low display weight.

If you’re looking for a nice feminine style with several display options, you can’t go wrong with Amelia, from the Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore.

Thirteen is an Interesting Name for a Hair Style, Right?

Looking for a nice formal hair style for a formal dinner or dance? Look no further than Alli & Ali’s Thirteen, available in a wide variety of colors to suit your needs.

The complete set as shown here sells for $L1500, but as always, the individual color packs are available for separate purchase for $L250 each.

And do you see the hair pin? You can change its color via the included HUD*.

Trissae: New from Alli & Ali

Carefree and wind-blown That’s how I’d describe Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore’s latest offering, Trissae. It comes with all the colors you see here, and can be configured in one of four styles.

The complete set sells for $L1500, but you can purchase any one of the 8 different color packs for $L250 each.
