Or, Making the Carpet Match the Drapes

This week’s offering from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore is twofold:

Camina is a somewhat straggly-looking style, similar to what your hair might look like after a long day at the office. Or, just as equally, a long night partying. Either way, I like it.

So of course I’m modeling it in my favorite color!

As with all of the new designs from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore, Camina has a very low display weight, the importance of which I’ve already spoken here.

It also comes in four different styles,  depending on your preferences.

The complete set sells for $L1500, but this week’s sale (at the front of the store) features Camina in caramel for $L50.

You can also buy the Ombre set for $L250:

Matching the Carpet to the Drapes

Okay, ladies. This is a bit more personal…and trickier.

I used the word “trickier” advisedly: I couldn’t find this item in the Mainstore. So here’ what you have to do: go to Alli&Ali Designs Classic. Once there, find the map/kiosk and click on the Pubic Hairs selection. I’ve sent a message to Alice Klinger (owner of A&A) to see where, if at all, it can be found in the Mainstore.

The complete set, with all of the colors you see above, is $L1500. Individual color boxes are $L250 each.

And no, I’m not going to post any pictures of me modeling this set! See me in-world if you’re that interested (or that perverted!).

Remember, the Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore should always be your first stop when shopping for quality hair and accessories.

Merfolk (Mermaids and Mermen)

Or, Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Being a Mermaid or Merman Before You Even Knew You Wanted to Know It

Remember when I told you that in SL, you can be anything you want to be? Ever imagine living a life under the sea? Be honest—wasn’t that every little girl’s dream? Well, now you can become one for only $10 Lindens. Or, if you prefer, absolutely free.

Safe Waters Foundation

Head on over to the Safe Waters Foundation Headquarters (SWF). When you get there, turn around to see this:

The arrows won’t be there; I added them for clarity. The shorter one points to the SWF group joiner. There is no cost to join.

The longer arrow points to the door you need to pass through to get to the goodies:

Again, I added the arrows for clarity. They point to the Pearl, which you have to touch to receive the free outfit.

Unfortunately, if you’re using a mesh avatar like mine, it’s not that easy. All of these options are designed for classic (non-mesh) avatars (avis). And because mesh avis are complex and expensive, it follows that mesh accessories for mesh avis are also expensive.

Fear Not!

The item shown above can be found on the SL Marketplace for only $L1! It comes with a standard body that you can use to replace your mesh body, so everything will work peachy-keen!

This is my friend Jenny in that very same outfit.

Safe Waters Foundation Redux

You can find out more about the Safe Waters Foundation at its website, which also contains an events calendar as well as a long list of mer-related sites in Second Life.

Or you can check out their Digital Mermaids blog on Blogspot. The blog also has minutes of the most recent weekly meeting.

Now if you will excuse me, I have an octopus’s garden to explore!

As Promised, Raina!

I need to apologize for not posting in so long: the recent heat wave which saw temperatures soaring into the mid-90°F/32°C simply beat me down. My rented room is the warmest in the house, which means I’m nice and comfy in the winter, but also means that my summers often suck.

But that’s neither here nor there when it comes to SL hairstyles, is it? And my latest review features Raina, from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore.

Rania is a very feminine style, which means I’ll rarely wear it. Unless, of course, I find that Special Someone that’s worth dressing up for!

And for such a frilly style, it has a very low display weight.

You can find the box containing just the brown colors for $L250 at the Mainstore, or you can splurge and buy the entire collection for $L1500.

And speaking of a Special Someone, I don’t just blog here: I live a full and active life in SL (hint, hint)!

Of course, you can also drop me a comment here about anything, not just the wonderful fashions at Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore.

I’m Doubly Excited!

Today I bring you news of not one but two new styles from Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore!

The first is Elowia, which comes in four—count ‘em—four styles!

Here’s how they each look (in my favorite color, of course!):

And my own favorite:

Elowia-4.png

And given the entire collection of colors and styles, there’s no reason you won’t be able to craft a look that’s just perfect for you!

And on top of that. you can buy Elowia in one color (faded brown) for only $L50 at the Alli&Ali Designs Mainstore. Or if you prefer, you can buy a box of all of them brown shades for $L250. Finally, the entire collection can be had for $L1500.

Coming Next

Raina, definitely feminine!
